Frederick Knoop


A co-inventor of the micro hardness test that bears his name

Frederick Knoop (1878–1943)[1] was an American physicist, metallurgist and instrument maker, who worked at the U.S. National Bureau of Standards in 1939. He was the inventor of the micro hardness test that is named after him.
